Many people print heavily, especially those who work or are currently attending college. If you’re not the only person who uses your PC and printer, or if you have child who enjoys printing out colhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.giforful pages from the Internet, you may find yourself purchasing ink cartridges and printer paper very often.
Supervise Printing
Always supervise your children when they use your printer. Kids, especially those who are young, will print endless copies of the website they love the most. Even when kids are using the printer for something important, like a project, they are prone to wasting paper by making mistakes. And although it may make them happy, don’t let your children print out useless copies of their favorite websites. There’s no reason for it, and if you let them get away with it, you’re just teaching your children to be wasteful.
Print Preview
Believe it or not, the option ‘Print preview’ is there for a reason. Many people print out a document or picture only to find that they don’t like it. The image may be too blurry or the print might be too small for anyone to read without a magnifying glass. Before printing out your paper, you should use this option to see how your paper will look once you print it out. Sometimes, it’s very different from how it looks in your word processor! Read through your document, so you can catch all typos and formatting issues before you print. If a small typo does manage to slip by, use whiteout if possible instead of making another copy.
Refill Ink Cartridges
Instead of purchasing new ink cartridges every time your print fades, you should refill the cartridges instead. Many people believe that something’s wrong with the cartridge, and not the toner, when their print begins to fade. Usually, it’s actually the opposite. You can go to Walgreen and Office Max if you want to refill your ink cartridges, for a charge of course. If you don’t want to pay a charge every time, you can just buy an ink refill kit instead.
